Interesting point. An interesting point is that I, like most American Jews, find it strange that a country would make it illegal to deny the Holocaust. However in the case of many European nations that seems to be their idea of a 'mea culpa' for having let it occur in the first place. As an American I would support their right to argue that it never happened, while at the same time reviling them for their abject ignorance (and usually racist tendencies). As has been said many times, being an American and respecting the rights of others is not always easy, but its required.
