Here is an excellent PBS Frontline investigation that focuses on a Senate race in Montana to look at how big money has infiltrated American politics. It looks at how the U.S. Supreme Court's 2010 Citizen's United ruling—which allowed corporations to spend money on political issues as part of First Amendment free speech—actually plays out in real life. It shows how shady non-profit organizations are able to legally spend big money on shaping elections without ever disclosing where and who the money comes from. Viva la democracia!
