Dear friends, 3 Quarks Daily is running its 4th annual contest for the best philosophy blog post on the Internet in the last 12 months. Dozens of nominations have come in. Browse the alphabetical list of entries here.

I have two of my posts in the running, both of which generated animated discussion:

  1. On Eating Animals
  2. The Bhagavad Gita Revisited

The audience voting round is now open. It will produce 20 semi-finalists. 3QD editors
will then pick 6 to 9 finalists from which this year’s final judge, Professor Justin E. H. Smith, will choose 3 winners. The top prize is $1,000.

Since the first round is a numbers game, your vote for one of my posts will make a difference to me!

HandClick here to vote (mine are listed at #3 and #4).

The voting deadline is September 14th. Thank you!

UPDATE (17 Sept): Both of my nominations advanced to the semifinal round but not beyond. Many thanks to all who voted for me!
